PRE -DEPARTURE  

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and then transfer you to your hotel in Kampala.

Day One

After breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover in Masindi for your lunch. Continue for your journey to the park. The park has a recorded number of 76 mammal species and 450 bird species. Depending on your time of arrival, drive to “The Top of the Falls” for a breathtaking sight of the raging Nile as it forces its way through a rocky gap barely six meters wide.

Continue to Paraa Safari Lodge OR Nile Safari Lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day Two: Game drive and launch cruise

Start the day with an early morning game drive in search of the wild game that are unique to the African Savannah like giraffes, antelopes, lions, elephants and the Uganda Kobs. The bird life is also impressive, with the eagle and the rare shoebill being among the prized sightings. During your game drive, you are able to view the Congo Blue Mountains, on a clear morning.

Return to the lodge for your Lunch. Afternoon launch cruise on the Nile River. The cruise takes you to the bottom of the thundering falls expect to see crocodiles, schools of hippos, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds.

Day Three: MFNP – Fort Portal

Have an early breakfast and embark on your journey from Murchison Falls National park the Albertine escarpment of the western rift valley to Fort portal town with lunch en route. The drive will bring you closer to the spectacular views passing through verdant country side, tea plantations and traditional homesteads. Arrive late in the evening.

Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon / Ndali Lodge.

Day Four: Chimpanzee tracking

Full day in search of chimpanzee and 10 other primates including L’hoestes, red colobus, blue, red-tailed and grey-cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters.

Day Five: KNP – QENP; game drive and Launch cruise

Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Ruwenzori Mt. Range. A game drive en route to view lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species.  Enjoy the unique 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. 

Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Buffalo Safari Lodge for two nights.

Day Six: Game drive

Have an early morning breakfast where after you go for your game drive.

Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.  Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephants, de’fasa water buck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. These two game drives and the boat trip (taken prior) are a memorable method of discovering a vast array of wildlife.

Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Buffalo Safari Lodge for two nights.

Day Seven: Nature Walk

Early morning departure to Maramagambo Forest. Visitors can climb through tropical forest and catch a glimpse of a variety of primates, including chimpanzee. Visit the bat caves. Drive onwards to Kampala, with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch, arriving early evening.
